opportunities models of support.? WE NOW WISH TO RECRUIT A PROGRAMME
CO-ORDINATOR TO JOIN OUR TEAM
The PROGRAMME CO-ORDINATOR will play a leading role in the on-going
development of person-centred practice and thinking within WALK and be
responsible for the day-to-day operations of the key deliverables. The
successful candidate?will play a significant role in the management
of day-to-day delivery of day services in a number of WALK locations.
A detailed role description is attached. Programme Coordinators are
key drivers and champions in the organisations efforts to ensure
people supported have the best possible life.
GENERAL ROLE OUTLINE:?
WALK Day opportunities programmes & support are delivered across
several geographical locations in Dublin
The programme Co-ordinator is responsible for the leadership,
management, and co-ordination of several community bases and
programmes. It is a key role within the leadership structure of the
organisation and in ensuring person centred approaches are inherent in
the thinking and practice of staff and in the provision of ?our
models of support.
The person will work collaboratively with the Operations Lead and
Leader of Day supports and with Co-ordinator colleagues & Practice
Developers in the evolution of day support services.?
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
An understanding of the WALK?s Vision, Values, and Mission and a
positive vision for the future
Third level qualification in a relevant professional or management
discipline
Have at least 3 years? experience, a period of which should be in a
Leadership role supporting adults with Intellectual Disabilities or
Autism
Have experience of Coaching and Mentoring staff, and encouraging
problem solving behavior in teams
Have experience of managing stakeholder relationships, to maximize
meaningful opportunities available to the people we support
Have a good knowledge of the New Directions standards and EASI tool
process
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
This post is aligned to Social Care Leader (HSE consolidated salary
scales )
Work location, hours of work will form part of the negotiations with
the successful candidate. The successful candidate will have a direct
report to the Operations Lead
